TalpaCreative is Talpa Content USA’s latest initiative. Talpa Content USA is the brainchild of Dutch media entrepreneur, John de Mol, the man behind such global hit series as “Big Brother”, “Deal or No Deal” and “Fear Factor”.

Talpa Content USA opened its Los Angeles office

in early 2007 with the goal of working with US-based television producers to develop new ideas for television and other media platforms.

“Nowhere else in the world do you find so many people with creative ideas as in the United States”?, Mr. de Mol has said. “We are looking for phenomenal ideas that will make for addictive, gotta-see-it appointment television.”

Once an idea is submitted,

Talpa will examine its production feasibility and international distribution potential. TV formats that have built up a strong track record in Holland will then be sold on the international market and can eventually travel back to the US.

Individual creators will be involved throughout the process and will be compensated – something the company will ensure through the use of clear-cut legal agreements.

“I’m certain that someone out there is sitting on the next great idea,” says John de Mol. “Talpa gives that person the means to make their dreams a reality. We are ready to take risks to bring those ideas to life.”
